Keeping Your Phone System COVID Responsive....Again
No sooner did we start to relax, rejoice, and start to migrate back into a “normal” life – we face another wave of COVID, due the Delta variant.
The different iterations of business practices have been dizzying in the last two years: we’re completely closed temporarily; we’re open but with modified hours; we’re open through online contact only; we’re open, but we’ve had to shut down all but our flagship location, and the most dreaded: We have permanently closed. Businesses have had to remain nimble, flexible, and hone their ability to look a few feet down the road and anticipate what’s ahead. Even if what’s ahead seems incomprehensible: another round of a deadly pandemic.
You’re bewildered, and so are your customers. They need to know if and when you’re in business – and *how* to do business with you. It’s important to keep current info on your website, *and* on your telephone platform messaging. Customers will be confirming that your business is still viable, and there are some tangible things you can do to keep your messaging current and fluid.
Reassure.
Your customers are nervous and uncertain. They’re reluctant to part with money or invest in anything that might be contingent on factors outside of their control. They need to be reassured that your product is still relevant and necessary in this uncertain time.
Keep Their Business.
You value their business more than ever. They need to know that. The fact that they’re still loyal and dedicated customers is an important factor to acknowledge – and reward. Many companies I’ve voiced for during the pandemic are offering deep discounts, waiving regular fees, or extending warranty/service programs as a thank you. Free delivery on tangible goods is always a good feature to offer.
Boast!
Use this time to brag a little. Your company made it through this pandemic because you’re resilient, you’re tough, and your company has longevity. Your customers have made you what you are; you will reward them by coming back better and stronger than ever.
The pandemic has forced nearly all companies in every industry to recalibrate and adjust how business is done. It’s important that your phone system messaging reflects your awareness of global shifts, and incorporates the latest information that your customers need. Together, we’ll get through this – again.
