I'm Allison Smith, the voice behind all the prompts that came with your Asterisk system, and the voice behind millions of customized telephony systems running Asterisk around the world.
I have been the Voice of Asterisk -- the world's fastest-growing telephony platform -- since its inception (which for me, was marked by an animated e-mail I received around 2002 from some hyperactive young guys in Alabama, asking me to do their quite unusual and offbeat prompts -- I was more than happy to voice them, but pretty much dismissed it as a one-off. Just one of those fun sessions in which I was voicing things like "Weasels have eaten our phone system!" instead of the usual "Press One for Technical Support" IVR fare which I was accustomed to voicing.) Up until that point, I'd never heard of Digium (owners and maintainers of Asterisk), and who could anticipate how big and rapidly Asterisk would grow?
Of course, the stock prompts -- voiced by me -- Allison Smith -- are packaged with every Asterisk license sold. They've always been free, readily available, and re-distributable under the GPL.
They're also available here to all registered users, in various formats -- and there's also another version of the script of the Asterisk stock prompts floating around -- modified by some members in Asterisk Community (we're all scratching our heads over *that* one -- Digium's writing and phrasing of the original prompts is second to none. They even took it upon themselves to change the prompt that most Asterisk members ask me about -- "Weasels have eaten our phone system!" to "Purple weasels have eaten this telephone equipment!" Whatever.)
We'll just call those "The B Version" -- and they're also available here, too, also recorded by me. (Take THAT, plagerizers!)
Go to the "Login" page, create an account, and download away -- of course, it goes without saying: you'll need customized prompts to accompany your stock prompts. And you'll need those customized prompts in the consistent, seamless voice that's always been voicing Asterisk. Order those prompts through the Digium site (www.digium.com).

I've voiced a huge number of voice applications that you probably hear everyday - on IVR systems (Verizon, Sprint, Cingular, Bell Canada, Vonage, and Twitterfone, to name a few -- in addition to the rapidly-growing Asterisk); commercials (radio, TV, and internet), automated in-store annoucements, Customer Satisfaction Surveys (Victoria's Secret, Toyota, Marriott Hotels, JD Power and Associates, Pacific Gas and Electric, Bank of America), industrial videos (3M, Pittsburgh-Corning) IVR store finders (PetSmart, Diesel Jeans) documentary narration, animation voice-overs - even talking thermostats, talking toys, and the speech-driven Roomba Vacuum!
Virtually any voice application you can think of - I've done it and can do it for your company.
